Hello! I am a Dentistry student with a strong academic background in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics. Having successfully studied these subjects at high level, I understand both the content and the exam techniques required to achieve top GCSE grades.

My lessons are structured around the GCSE exam specification and tailored to specific exam boards for each student, this is to ensure that every topic taught is directly relevant to what students need to know for their exams. Each lesson will be typically divided into two parts. The first half is about teaching and understanding - this is about giving a clear explanation of key concepts and theory, breaking down difficult topics and focusing on common misconceptions and areas students often struggle with. The second half is about testing and consolidation - retrieval practice will strengthen memory and recall and application of the newly learned content into exam style questions and past paper practice will help consolidate knowledge. This approach ensures students do not simply learn information, but are able to apply it effectively in examinations.

Students can expect lessons that are tailored to their individual strengths, weaknesses and learning style, ensuring that time is spent where it is needed most. Teaching is closely aligned with the GCSE specification and includes regular knowledge checks to monitor progress and identify areas for improvement. As a Dentistry student, I use Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics regularly in my studies and understand the level of scientific and analytical thinking required for academic success.
