Amaka Ohanekwu

I am a Sociology graduate from the University of Lagos with three years of tutoring experience. I currently tutor through Preply and Tuteria, where I focus on making learning engaging, practical, and easy to understand.

My teaching approach is student-centred and interactive. I break down complex sociological concepts into simple explanations, using real-life examples, discussions, and practical applications to help students connect theories to everyday experiences. I encourage questions, critical thinking, and active participation rather than memorisation.

I can help students understand sociological theories, research methods, criminology, social institutions, culture, and contemporary social issues. My goal is to build students’ confidence, strengthen their understanding, and help them achieve their academic objectives.

I am patient, approachable, organised, and committed to adapting my teaching methods to each student’s learning pace and needs. I strive to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring new ideas.
