Before I come to UK, I was a math and physics tutor for about 3 years helping high school students for their math and physics lessons and also students at university level. Apart from this I have been working as an offshore structural engineer within industry for about 20 years. While in UK, beside my main work as a structural engineer, I have sometimes been involved in private tutoring for my friends kids who needed help to improve their math and physics skills from basic to advanced level.
I think best method of teaching is to work from fundamentals and make students understand the main principles of the subject and enhance this by practicing. I can help you for obtaining an understanding of the concepts and perform exercises to prepare for your exams.
For practice sessions I try to have a tailored program for the students to match their goals. In general, discipline of the work is important for me. Therefore, having a plan for progress and tracking the progress will be an integral part of my teaching. In some cases, this plan may be adapted in a flexible manner to suit the student’s specific concerns and conditions. Generally, every student will have specific targets or method of understanding the concepts which I would try to adapt my teaching style to meet these goals.
