I achieved A* in A-Level Mathematics, plus A in Further Mathematics, History, and Economics, and strong GCSE results (4 grade 9s, 6 grade 8s, and 1 grade 7). I tutor with a big emphasis on understanding: learning how and why methods work, not just memorising steps. This approach helps students feel confident when facing unseen or tricky exam questions.
Alongside building strong foundations, we’ll also focus heavily on exam technique—especially near exam season—so you know how to pick up marks consistently and avoid common pitfalls. My goal is always that you leave each lesson knowing something you didn’t at the start, and feeling more confident than when you arrived.
About my sessions
My lessons are structured, personal, and student-led. Typically, we’ll start with a quick check of what you already know, then I’ll explain the key ideas clearly, followed by guided practice where we work through questions together. As you gain confidence, you’ll do more independently—with me stepping in to correct, stretch, and strengthen your technique.

Lessons can be tailored to exactly what you need, for example:
