Hello and welcome to my profile!

I’m a qualified teacher with a PGCE and QTS from a London university, following a successful 30-year career in Engineering. My transition from industry to education has given me a unique insight into how Maths and Science are applied in real-world contexts. I use these experiences to bring lessons to life, helping students understand not only what they are learning but why it matters.

My lessons are carefully structured and fully personalised. At the start of our journey, I’ll speak with you to understand your goals and identify areas of the syllabus you'd like to focus on. I’ll also carry out a short initial assessment—either verbally or in writing—to gauge your current understanding. From there, we’ll build a tailored plan that targets your needs and includes optional self-study or homework tasks to support your progress.

Each session begins with a fun five-question recap of the previous lesson to reinforce learning. We’ll then explore new content, work through typical misconceptions, and complete interactive tasks to test your understanding. Finally, you’ll apply what you’ve learned by answering exam-style questions, which I’ll mark and give instant feedback on to help you grow in confidence and skill.

Homework can be discussed and agreed together. I’ll mark and review any work you do outside of lessons, which helps track your development and allows me to adapt future sessions to suit your evolving needs.
