I’m a qualified Maths teacher (PGCE and QTS) with 12 years’ experience teaching GCSE and Functional Skills Maths. I work with learners of all ages, from secondary school students to adults returning to education after many years.

My lessons are supportive, interactive and tailored to the individual. Rather than simply showing you a method and asking you to repeat it, I focus on helping you understand why the maths works. We’ll identify any gaps in your knowledge, explore different approaches and build confidence through practice, discussion and problem solving.

In online lessons I use a graphics tablet and interactive whiteboard, allowing me to demonstrate methods and mathematical working clearly while we work through problems together. I also create my own resources and can provide additional practice between lessons where appropriate.

I specialise particularly in GCSE resits and Functional Skills Maths, including learners who have previously struggled with maths or lack confidence in the subject. As exams approach, we can use past papers from your specific exam board to develop exam technique and familiarity with the style of questions you’ll encounter.
