Alex Gordon

I will be covering a variety of topics in my classes for each subject. I will be offering 1 to 1 classes with students to provide them with the best learning atmosphere, as well as to adapt my teaching style to their individual needs.

I will be catering my teaching approach for each and every student, from the complexity to the topics covered in my classes. I want each student to feel comfortable in my classes and to be able to give me feedback if they feel that I am not helping them in the best way possible. To achieve this I will be ending each session with a check in to see if the student feels comfortable with how I have explained any subject matter throughout the hour.

I will aim to provide each student not only with a functional knowledge of any topic that we discuss, but the skills to approach other topics in an informed and instructed way

I like to teach with a demonstrative approach but I can tailor this to suit the needs of any student. To ensure topics are covered to exam ability I will be helping with exam style questions and specifically how to approach these questions.

Each lesson I will be providing all students with some questions they can look over to try and help deepen their understanding and to prepare them for the exam situation. The students can then ask me about these questions and we can work on solutions if they so wish.

Overall I hope to provide a welcoming an open class to all students and a space for them to learn freely and with no judgement.
