Alana Kennedy

I'm a creatively lead person, currently studying a degree in Fine Art, specialising in Painting. Creativity is a coping mechanism, an outlet for expression and therapeutic. My aim is to teach the versatility of art through paintings, keeping lessons individual to the student. I've gotten A*s in both GCSE and A Level Art and feel strongly about the benefits to the self and mental health.
In my lessons I'm aiming to respond directly to the student in their interests and the skills they'd like to learn. I aim to keep it respectful, responsive and keep an inviting, comfortable atmosphere and conversation.
Art is universal, a language in itself, and through online tutoring lessons I aim to teach basics and how that can lead to a creative flow for each individual. I can respond to both outgoing people and quiet people, creating a space that's comfortable for everyone, and helps them reach a point they're satisfied with in their artistic skills.
I've learnt a lot through my experience as an artist, and if I can use those tools to help other people learn in the same way, it would be an honour to do so.
Being an art tutor will not only help me in my experience with aspiring artists, but also help students to learn what I've learned at their own pace, in a comfortable environment, and in a way that works for them.
Important in it's own right, the more people who engage in creativity, shine a light on a path that can help bring more joy into the world.
