Many students come into Science lessons believing they are “just not good at science.” My approach is focused on changing that mindset by helping students build understanding step by step in a supportive and encouraging environment.
I teach KS3, KS4, GCSE, and lower A-Level Science, particularly Biology and general science support. My lessons are designed to be interactive, clear, and adapted to each student’s learning style and confidence level. Some students need help preparing for exams and improving grades, while others simply need concepts explained in a way that finally makes sense to them. I tailor lessons depending on the individual student rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.
A typical lesson may include visual explanations, discussion-based learning, exam-style questions, active recall techniques, and guided practice to help students stay engaged and develop long-term understanding rather than relying purely on memorisation.
My background includes experience across teaching, tutoring, curriculum development, and academic leadership within both UK and international educational settings. I have also supported students with SEN needs, including ADHD, autism, and dyslexia, which has strengthened my ability to adapt lessons and create supportive learning environments for different types of learners.
Above all, I want students to leave lessons feeling more confident than when they arrived. Academic progress is important, but helping students believe in their own ability to learn is just as valuable.
