I would prefer to teach online I am a biology educator and researcher with a PhD in Algal Physiology and Biochemistry from Punjabi University, alongside nearly five years of research and teaching experience in the biological sciences. My academic specialisation is in botany, and I am equally comfortable teaching across the wider biology curriculum, including molecular biology, genetics, evolution, biochemistry, cell biology, immunology, and physiology.
Throughout my academic career, I have delivered seminars and tutorials to undergraduate and postgraduate students, supervised laboratory sessions, assisted with lesson preparation, and provided ongoing academic guidance and mentorship to junior researchers. Alongside this university-based experience, I have given private tuition to students outside the academic setting, which has helped me develop a teaching style that adapts to each learner's individual pace, background, and goals.
My laboratory research has given me a deep, practical understanding of biological concepts that goes beyond textbook explanations, and I bring this depth into every lesson while keeping explanations clear and accessible. I believe strong science teaching comes from making complex ideas feel approachable without losing their rigor, and my goal with every student is to build genuine understanding rather than rote memorisation.
Whether working with a student struggling with foundational concepts or one aiming for top grades in a competitive exam, I focus on building both the confidence and the curiosity needed to engage with biology long after the lesson ends. I am currently looking to teach online and welcome students at GCSE, A-Level, IB, and undergraduate level, across the full range of biological science subjects.
