I am a student at the University of Birmingham (UoB) with a background in various STEM subjects. My academic achievements include:

1. Master's degree in Computer Science (UoB) : Distinction (predicted)
2. Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering with Honours (UoB) : First-Class
3. A-levels in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology : A*, A*, A*, A*

During my studies, I have demonstrated excellent competency when applying mathematical concepts to my work. I believe that my multidisciplinary background enables me to contextualise how maths is used across different industries, using real world examples to reinforce learning and inspire interest. One might assume that, because of my exceptional academic record, that I have found my studies trivial and easy. However, this is far from the case. Throughout my education, I have struggled in understanding numerous topics. However, through hard work and dedication, I have achieved a great understanding of these subjects. Consequently, I believe this positions me well to understand the difficulties that students face during their studies, enabling me to approaching teaching with patience and empathy.

Ultimately, I believe that my strong mathematical background, understanding of real world applications of mathematics, and patient and kind attitude, positions me as an excellent mathematics and physics tutor.
