I teach Maths by breaking concepts down logically, step by step, and adapting explanations to each student. I am a tailored tutor who encourages questions and regularly checks understanding, rather than rushing through content.
I am currently an A-Level Maths student, and I developed my teaching approach through helping my siblings with Maths at KS3 and GCSE level, as well as by learning the subject myself using a logical, step-by-step method. This made me realise that logic is more effective than memorisation, as understanding helps knowledge stick for longer. This learning approach allowed me to achieve a Grade 8 in GCSE Maths and a predicted A* at A-Level, and I believe this structured method can help other students succeed too.
These results, alongside the tailored tutoring approach I offer, allow me to confidently support primary and KS3 students, and I am also able to help with most GCSE Maths topics if required.
Although I have not had any bookings yet, I plan to structure lessons by first identifying what the student needs to learn for their specific exam board, ensuring we focus on the most relevant topics. I am flexible and willing to adapt if I find a better teaching approach, or if my initial method does not suit the student. If an approach is working, I aim to build a strong foundation before moving on to practice questions to apply the concepts properly. If not, I will pause, ask questions to see where the confusion lies.
I want students to feel comfortable being honest if they are confused, and I aim to make learning engaging and enjoyable, while keeping explanations clear and to the point.
Despite having a clear structure, lessons remain flexible and can be adapted to revise weaker topics or prepare for tests and exams when needed.
