Adam Cuthbert

My name is Adam and I have recently finished the 3rd year of my 4-year Integrated Master's course in Physics. I have always had a passion for Maths and Physics since I was a child, and would relish the opportunity to impart some of my knowledge. My aim is to create a supportive and professional learning environment where students feel comfortable to ask questions and are motivated to do their best.

Alongside my studies, I have gained teaching experience through instructing karate classes for students of varying skill and age. Through this I have developed strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to adapt my teaching style to suit different learners. Lessons are specialised to suit the needs of each individual tutee. My primary aim is to discover which aspects of a given subject/topic are causing the most struggle or confusion and break them down into easily understood steps. Basic problems will be used to test the tutee's understanding, and will become progressively more challenging to reinforce their knowledge.
