Adam Burton

I’m an actor in TV, Film and Theatre so I have a strong background in using language and analysing text. I also have a PG award in teaching Shakespeare, which I’ve used to developed and lead workshops in both Shakespeare and Immersive Theatre. I aim to bring this experience into my English teaching, facilitating learning that is dynamic, fun and empowering.

I am currently mentoring Ukrainians who want to improve their English. My sessions include role play, to help students find different approaches to various situations, such as going to the shops or talking to a bank or internet provider. We also look at colloquialisms; what does ‘having a ball’ or ‘burying their head in the sand’ really mean?

Fundamentally, I want to learn what your goals are so I can help you achieve them. Whether teaching children or adults, I’ve learned that having fun is the key to success. So whatever your goals, I’ll strive to make your learning journey bring a smile to your face.
