My lessons will begin by explaining the real-world applications and uses of the mathematical concepts we are learning. I will then work through an example question, providing a clear and in-depth explanation of each step. After just one example, I will work through a similar question together with the student before allowing them to attempt one independently. I will correct mistakes as they occur and provide guidance where needed. This approach allows us to maximise lesson time and avoid the constant stopping and starting that often happens in a traditional classroom environment.
