My lessons are structured, interactive, and tailored to each student’s goals, current ability, and areas for improvement. I have one year of experience specifically tutoring A Level Economics and Politics, alongside three years of general tutoring experience, which has helped me develop a flexible approach that works for different learning styles and needs.

Each lesson typically combines clear explanations, discussion, exam practice, and feedback. I focus on breaking down difficult concepts into simple, understandable ideas before building towards more advanced analysis and evaluation. Rather than just memorising content, I help students understand how and why ideas work so they can apply them confidently in exams.

For A Level Economics, lessons can cover key topics including microeconomics, macroeconomics, markets, government policies, economic performance, and global issues. I use real-world examples and current affairs to make theories more relevant, while helping students develop the ability to analyse diagrams, evaluate policies, and write strong exam responses.

For A Level Politics, I help students develop a strong understanding of political systems, institutions, ideologies, elections, and contemporary debates. Lessons focus on building arguments, comparing viewpoints, using evidence effectively, and improving essay technique to meet exam board requirements.

I also place a strong emphasis on exam preparation and technique. This includes practising essay plans, improving structure, understanding mark schemes, developing evaluation skills, and learning how to approach different question styles. I provide constructive feedback so students can track their progress and continuously improve.

My teaching style is supportive and encouraging, creating an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and engaging in discussion. Every lesson is adapted to the student — whether they need help catching up on topics, strengthening their understanding, or aiming for the highest grades possible.

My aim is to make Economics and Politics more approachable, engaging, and enjoyable while helping students build the knowledge, confidence, and skills needed to succeed.
