Depends on the style of music. Playing classical and you can play anything. Alhambra is a good starting point.

Hi, it all depends what style of guitar you are wanting to learn. For acoustic I would recommend a Fender Sonoran. Affordable and a great sound.
For electric, I would recommend a squier Stratocaster, again very affordable and great sound.
The reason for choosing fender on both is the neck is comfortable and very easy to get accustomed to straight away! Hope this helps!

Hi, it’s nice that you’re trying to learn guitar. Guitar brands doesn’t really matter that much, and the most important thing to look for is the “string action” which means the string height on the guitar, the lower the strings the less finger pain you will experience. I recommend you to go to your local guitar shop and try some guitars.

Honestly, I would say first just get whatever cheap instrument you come across to learn the very basics of the style you like. Once you get to understand how guitar works, where are the chords and you can play a little something, set yourself a budget (up to £120, up to £200, up to £300 etc.) go to a music shop - preferrably with your guitar teacher - and choose a guitar that you like the sound and the comfort of the most within that price range. I have some really expensive Takamine guitar that sounds great in studio but I hate to play it, and a really cheap Brunswick that to my huge surprise I can't get enough of... it's really very personal. Good luck!

On the electric side, if you're not keen on any style of music or playing, a basic start line from Fender,"Squire" is a good one, sometimes they have some set deal too, with a small amp and tuner stuff. Fender is still one of the most popular used guitars nowadays. But if you like heavier or fancy stuff, Yamaha and Ibanez also have a good range of prices to start with, well known for their quality too. On the acoustic side, I prefer 'Yamaha', nylon or steel string, which I am keen to ask students to start with nylon, it more easier to handle and softer the strings. Yamaha is very well known for the quality of the basic model. In my hometown, most of all music school perfer them as a starter.

There are two basic types of acoustic to choose between . Classical has a wider neck and softer strings , these are easier for beginners and children because they don’t hurt as much and have more space for finger placement . The other is the steel string and on cheaper guitars has a higher action and hurts more so kids don’t practice on these guitars as much . There are many styles of guitar but these are your real beginner choices .
