INCREASE YOUR VOCABULARY USING PICTURES THAT BUILDS A STORY

Can you describe that beautiful scenery?  Just go for it and see how great the range of your vocabulary is.  

The more words your knowledge in English, the greater a speaker you become.

Make a list of your own list of vocabulary words and create a story using the words.  It is one thing to learn a list of vocabulary words and it is another thing to use these words to create a story that describes a picture.

Use flashcards with pictures on them to remember the words.

You can also do a free-handed drawing of a picture that in your mind best describes the words that you are learning. 

Learning Vocabulary in any language can feel quite daunting.  Trust me, I know.  I am a Native English speaker and I also speak 5 languages in all.  I have been through the ups and downs of learning a language different from English.

There is a saying in the English language that states, "A PICTURE TELLS A THOUSAND WORDS."  Believe that that saying is true.

Teaching English to speakers of other languages can be very challenging if I am a speaker of the student's native language and I need to describe what I am saying.  I have found that many times when I have used pictures, students understand right away what I am explaining,  Have you ever experienced not understanding something in English, that if a picture is used to describe something you understand it right away?  Do it as an experiment and see how it makes you feel.
