Advert description
My motto is when you're on the mat, nothing else matters. No comparison, no achievement, no fear of getting it wrong. Just the chance to understand yourself a little better and come home to your authentic self. I try to build every class around that idea, setting intentional space and time for people to explore their own possibilities rather than chase a shape or a standard.
In practice, that means reading the room. I adapt the pace and depth of a class to the individuals, always giving variations for different levels. I lead pranayama regularly and always open with a breathing technique, both to ground the group and to properly welcome them into the space before we move into our sequence. I've also completed trauma-informed training, which shapes how I cue, how I offer (rather than impose) adjustments and how I make sure the room feels safe for whoever walks in, whatever they're carrying that day.
