I have a PhD in Pure Mathematics from the University of Manchester and 10 years of university teaching under my belt. I love mathematics and find it incredibly rewarding to share my passion for the subject with other people. I love finding new angles to familiar things and showing people that mathematics is not just a subject that they can succeed at, but a truly beautiful form of art. With a PhD and a 10 years worth of experience under my belt, I have developed a supportive, patient and engaging approach. My teaching philosophy can be summarised in the words of Vladimir Arnold, a mathematician and a mathematic educator: "A student is not a vessel to fill, but a torch to light".
