I am a patient, organised and supportive tutor who enjoys helping students build confidence and make steady progress.

I have over three years of tutoring experience supporting primary and secondary students in English and Maths, including GCSE preparation. I have delivered 1:1 lessons both online and in person and always adapt my teaching to the individual student rather than using the same approach for everyone. At the beginning, I like to identify the student’s strengths, areas of difficulty and what they want to achieve. I then plan structured lessons around these areas, using clear explanations, worked examples, practice questions and regular checks for understanding. For GCSE students, I also incorporate exam-style questions, revision strategies and exam technique so they become familiar with how to approach different questions confidently. I aim to create a relaxed and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I regularly review progress and adjust lessons where needed to make sure the student continues to improve and become more independent in their learning.
