Advert description
Arabic can feel challenging at first, especially its pronunciation and writing system. My aim is to make learning it feel approachable, interesting, and rewarding.
I believe a good lesson starts with understanding the student. Why do you want to learn Arabic? Is it for travel, work, study, or simply to connect with people and culture? Your answer will help us decide what to focus on and how to move forward.
For beginners, we'll start with sounds, letters, useful expressions, and simple conversations. For more advanced learners, we can explore grammar, reading, writing, and natural conversation. I teach both Modern Standard Arabic and Syrian/Levantine Arabic, depending on your interests.
I'm a native Arabic speaker and PhD researcher with university teaching experience. As a teaching assistant, I delivered 16 sessions in Academic English and DFT Methods, supported students, assessed assignments, and provided individual guidance. I've also contributed to my university's Arabic Language Club and worked for many years in Arabic-English scientific translation, which strengthened my understanding of Arabic grammar, vocabulary, and expression.
I pay particular attention to clear pronunciation, natural speaking, and creating a comfortable environment where students aren't afraid to make mistakes or ask questions.
My goal is simple: I want you to enjoy learning Arabic, recognise your progress, and gradually feel confident enough to use the language beyond our lessons.
