Hi my name is Ellis and I am here to show you that learning guitar is less about music theory and more about muscle memory!

I have been playing guitar for over 13 years and finger style for 5 years consistently and have played grade 8 pieces, self-taught after high school and play classical guitar. After high school, I was discouraged with playing guitar entirely and nearly gave up thinking it wasn't for me! Thankfully, my love for the instrument was found once again after I set out to play classical style, and music that I genuinely enjoyed which resonated with me to my core. It felt fun once again and I was able to put more time into the craft because of that. My approach is to avoid the strict tutoring of my former teacher and to help you to exceed at playing pieces that you are interested in based on your current skill level. With that said, keep in my that I am not proficient with electric guitar or techniques involving a plectrum, so I different tutor may suite you better for that!
