IT has given me a career that covers software development, software delivery mechanisms, solution and enterprise architecture. I have worked in Finance, designing and building exchange platforms for Credit Suisse and Deutsche Bank among others. In insurance for Prudential Group, assisting actuaries in the head office build a huge scale platform for calculating their global solvency position. I have been a co-founder of a number of technology companies - of which the one I am most proud is a development office based in Poland, which focussed on agile delivery and the integration of on-shore project management with off-shore development expertise. I acted as Technical Director, mentor and (I hope) inspiration for a group of individuals straight out of university looking to find their way in the industry, and looking at these individuals now, with what they have all achieved I am proud of the part I played in their development.
