I believe the success of teaching is first to understand the student as a person. The student's strengths, weaknesses, and learning styles must be identified before conducting lessons. Everyone learns differently. Just because one way doesn't work, does not mean they are any less than others. It is the responsibility of teachers and tutors to adapt their methods that best suit the student.
