Advert description
My approach to Maths tutoring is patient, practical and completely personalised to the student. I focus on understanding where they are getting stuck, breaking problems down into manageable steps and explaining concepts in different ways until we find the approach that makes sense to them.
I have over 10 years' experience supporting children and young people and have delivered more than 2,000 hours of 1:1 coaching. I hold an MSc in Psychology & Neuroscience of Mental Health from King's College London, and my understanding of learning, motivation, confidence and executive functioning helps me adapt sessions to the individual student.
I am particularly experienced in supporting neurodivergent young people, including those with ADHD and autism, and students who may have lost confidence in their ability. My aim is not just to help students get the answer right, but to help them understand how they learn, build confidence and feel less overwhelmed by Maths.
