I am a patient, approachable and supportive tutor who understands that every child learns differently. Through my experience supporting children and young people in an educational setting, including working with SEND pupils, I have developed strong communication, listening and adaptability skills. I understand the importance of creating a positive environment where children feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. For SATs preparation, I will focus on helping Year 6 pupils strengthen their knowledge and build confidence across key areas such as Maths, Reading, Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling. I will break difficult topics into simple, manageable steps and use clear explanations, examples and practice questions to check understanding. I will adapt lessons to each pupil's ability, identifying areas they find challenging and providing extra support where needed. I aim to make lessons interactive and encouraging rather than overwhelming. I will regularly review progress, revisit topics where necessary and introduce SATs-style questions so pupils become familiar with the format and develop effective problem-solving and exam techniques. My goal is not only to help pupils prepare for their SATs, but also to help them become more confident and independent learners.
