Hello, I am currently a student at UCL studying Astrophysics. Ever since I was young I have always enjoyed maths and was good.

I will first ask and asses the students current knowledge on a specific topic to understand how much the student already knows. with this I will develop a a better understanding of the students' capabilities. I would show the student examples and methods on how to answer a certain style of question and then let the student try. I would try to avoid telling the student exactly what to do and will allow the student to try and figure to out themselves first as it helps them build confidence. I would mentor them and only give directions into the method instead of feeding them the answers. I believe this method allows the student to work more independently as they will in an exam. It will also allow them to think and understand more.
