Advert description
I teach in four steps. First, I check what the student already knows with a few quick questions, so I start at the right level. Second, I explain one idea at a time in plain language, using a simple example or a real laboratory case, such as how PCR copies DNA or how an enzyme speeds up a reaction. Third, the student practises with questions straight away, and I correct mistakes as they happen and explain why the right answer works. Fourth, I finish with a short recap and set practice work for the week. For exams, I show students how to read each question, plan, and structure a full-mark answer. I adjust the pace to each student and use screen sharing for diagrams and worked problems.
