I’ve taught for 20+ years and still adore my job! I love learning, and seeing children adopt a hunger for knowledge is phenomenal!

I treat each student as the wonderful individual that you are and will tailor my teaching especially for you. I'll do this by using what I've learnt during my years as a teacher, and we'll use your interests and talents to build up an arsenal of strengths. Everyone has their own learning style and special abilities, and I can't wait to discover what yours are! We can do activities of logic and reasoning to grow your skillset, and lots of educational games (because I think that learning is best embedded when having fun). I'll regularly pop in mini fluency drives to practise and retain your knowledge. I have endless patience, I don't take insults personally or hold a grudge: every tute is a fresh tute. I believe that lots of praise, motivation and reward works wonders. In my experience, mutual respect between tutor and student provides the best basis for a great working partnership. Together we will focus on whatever you need, whether it's a particular subject, help with homework or emotional support. We can schedule at least one weekly mental health check for a chat, to find out what we can do to help you manage your own feelings and reactions. We'll build up your resilience - that you can wear like a coat of armour - to deal with the exciting things that lie ahead in your life!
