Advert description
My name is Leanne, and my background brings together wellbeing, mental wellness, yoga and holistic practices. I have five years of experience working within the Ministry of Justice and HM Prison and Probation Service in the UK, including working as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner and leading a wellness team. These experiences have taught me the importance of creating a supportive environment where people feel comfortable, respected and empowered to develop their own understanding of wellbeing.
Alongside my professional experience, I am a qualified yoga teacher and Reiki practitioner, with a deep interest in the connection between mind, body and our overall sense of balance. My approach combines practical wellbeing techniques with opportunities for self-reflection, helping you develop skills that you can carry beyond our sessions and into everyday life.
To me wellness is not about achieving perfection or following a one-size-fits-all approach. It is about understanding yourself, recognising what you need and developing healthy ways to navigate life's challenges.
My sessions are designed to be welcoming, interactive and adaptable to your individual needs. I aim to create a space where you can ask questions, share your thoughts and explore different techniques without fear of judgement. Whether you are completely new to wellness or already have some experience, we will work at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
Depending on your needs and interests, our sessions may incorporate breathing exercises, mindfulness, relaxation techniques, gentle movement, guided reflection and practical strategies for managing stress. We can also explore topics such as emotional awareness, healthy habits, self-confidence, work-life balance and maintaining wellbeing during periods of academic pressure.
I recognise that being a student can bring its own challenges, from deadlines and examinations to managing expectations and balancing different responsibilities. My aim is to help you develop a toolkit of techniques that you can use independently, both in your studies and in your wider life.
