Build Confidence in Mandarin: Tailored Online Lessons for All Ages and Levels

I’ll help you build confidence in speaking, understanding, reading and writing Mandarin, with lessons shaped around your level, interests and goals. For beginners, we can start with pinyin, tones and useful everyday phrases, then gradually introduce Chinese characters. If you already know some Mandarin, we can develop your conversation skills, vocabulary and fluency through topics that matter to you. My approach is patient and practical: I’ll explain clearly, model pronunciation and give you plenty of time to practise, with gentle corrections and English explanations when helpful. I also teach my own child Chinese, so I understand the importance of encouragement and making learning enjoyable. For children, I can include stories, games and simple conversations; for learners interested in handwriting, I can draw on six years of Chinese pen calligraphy practice to support stroke order and character structure. Each lesson will end with a brief review and manageable practice to help you progress between sessions.
