I am a modern foreign language student with experience of teaching english in different scenarios. I have worked as a teaching assistant in France in a primary school teaching english to children between 5 and 7 years old. This experience gave me crucial knowledge in terms of how a lesson should be prepared and what kind of material makes learning easier for students. My methods are based on making the lessons interactive and engaging for the students whatever their capability and age. As a student and speaker of several foreign languages i understand very well that repetitive grammar based exercises and tasks make lessons tedious and do not allow students to develop their linguistic skills simply because they are not participating in the lesson actively. I believe grammar and tougher concepts need to be introduced in a relaxed exciting way whereby the student can see how the structures are used in real life situations and not only in a textbook or on a worksheet. As well as my role as a language assistant in France, i have given online zoom lessons to chinese children. This process was very valuable as i invented different methods of teaching the information that work online and do not become boring or repetitive. Due to my language backround i believe i have an ability to put myself in the students shoes and sympathise with a lot of difficulties that arise during language learning. English lessons with me will be fun and very interactive, i truly believe that is the only way that we can master languages and increase the probability of being able to speak fluently and with confidence.
