I am hard working, dedicated and patient. I’d like to tutor GCSE students as I feel they would benefit from my expertise the most

I have just completed my a levels achieving grades AAA in biology, chemistry and psychology. In my GCSE’s I achieved 9’s in history, biology, chemistry and maths. I have a passion for all these subjects and I believe my enthusiasm would help to encourage students. I believe I will excel as a tutor because I have recently left education so I so greatly understand the pressures of exams today and understand that it takes patience and dedication as well as moral support to help students achieve their targets. I have had many tutors myself over the years and know that the tutors I felt most comfortable with introduced themselves and asked me questions about myself so I will to do the same. It is important to engage with students and build a relationship to ensure their trust in you and your teaching. I would then ask them which areas they struggle with the most to the least and address the areas they struggle with the most first. I would ask them if they know of any methods that help them to revise and remember information and I would use these to plan how to teach them. Regardless of if they knew any methods or not I would tell them about methods i personally have used to help me so we can see if they can help them. Although I have never officially been a tutor before i have always helped my friends and others to understand what we are being taught as well as helping my younger sister through her studies.
