I give affordable maths lessonsbto both KS3 and KS4 students of all abilities

Advert description
I give affordable and fun GCSE maths lessons to KS3 and KS4 students of all abilities. I really enjoy helping students to grow to love the subject and take a slow and steady approach in all my lessons to help build up my students confidence.
Chimmaramma Onuama in a nutshell
I usually start off with a fun, simple, ten minute game that is directly related to the topic I would be teaching to ease the student into the lesson and also to get a better grasp of the student's understanding. After, I explain the topic using easy past paper questions linked to that topic usually for around 15 to 20 minutes. This is really useful as I am able to explain the basics of the topic...
I usually start off with a fun, simple, ten minute game that is directly related to the topic I would be teaching to ease the student into the lesson and also to get a better grasp of the student's understanding. After, I explain the topic using easy past paper questions linked to that topic usually for around 15 to 20 minutes. This is really useful as I am able to explain the basics of the topic step-by -step which helps the student see and understand the reasoning behind the way the problem is solved and teaches them techniques they can use in a real exam. Afterwards for around fifteen to twenty minutes the student goes through some exercises that slowly increase in difficulty until either myself or the student believes they have firmly grasped an understanding of the topic. Afterwards, I give them a past paper question to solve on their own in exam conditions and then I mark it and give the student feedback. If I believe the student still does not fully understand I try to pinpoint where exactly their lack of understanding is by going over any particular mistakes in their working. This lasts until the end of the lesson. At the end, I give the student about 2 to 3 questions related to the topic to solve as homework. This would have to be solved by the following week. If after marking the homework I still believe the student needs help I go over the same topic again.
