Experienced KS1 and Early Years Primary School Teacher, offering support with Phonics, English and Maths

Hello! My name is Monica and I am a qualified Primary School Teacher with over 12 years experience teaching Early Years and Key Stage 1. I offer tuition in Maths, Phonics, Reading and Writing. I have a natural passion for children's learning and development and provide rich learning experiences as well as a safe environment in which all children can flourish. I have over 12 years experience teaching and tutoring. I am trained in Read Write Inc. Phonics and am knowledgeable of the National Curriculum and Early Years Foundation Stage. I have experience working with children who have additional needs and can tailor lessons to support pupils and to further extend learning. I have often been told I am very calm. I have a friendly approach and enjoy making learning fun by incorporating practical activities to support children's understanding. I am skilled in planning and delivering engaging lessons and getting the best out of pupils. I can efficiently identify any areas of weakness and use my knowledge to bridge the gaps in learning. As well as providing opportunities to practise and consolidate, I can recognise areas where pupils can further extend their learning in order to reach their full potential. I can speak Punjabi and often have to communicate with parents and families in Punjabi.
