Professional Guitarist offering lessons in a range of styles including Rock, Pop, Classical and Jazz

I have been playing guitar for over 14 years and in that time have gained lots of experience playing and performing in a wide variety of different genres as both a soloist and in ensembles. While at university I gave 5 solo classical guitar recitals, played in small and large jazz bands on a weekly basis and performed in the band for a musical production.

I help students learn to play whatever style of music they are interested in while also teaching them musicianship and fundamental musical and guitar related skills. I am a classical and jazz guitarist who came to those styles from rock and pop, and I feel this musical background enables me to teach different genres. For each student I will help them work out what their goals are in learning guitar and give them a structured practice plan to aid them in achieving their goals. I can help students work towards grades if they want to, but don’t require it.

Lessons will be conducted via zoom, or I can come to the students house if they're not too far.

Music related qualifications: A level music (A), Trinity Guildhall Classical Guitar Grade 8, ABRSM Piano grade 8, ABRSM Grade 8 Music theory
