Learning about the events of the past, is the key to understanding the present and future

I am moving into my third year, studying BA History and social Sciences and loving every second. I am a very mature student and have been a soldier, policeman and personal trainer, which gives a great perspective on history (I saw it happen). I have tutored in the Fitness Industry to instructors and lifeguards. More recently I have been tutoring secondary school children who have been excluded on a one to one basis and enjoyed every minute. In the Army we used to say that the most important piece of kit, is your sense of humour, and that has been the mantra I pass on to all of my pupils.
