Online KS2 Teacher Providing Sats Expertise with 15 Years Experience

I am a qualified primary teacher with 15 years of classroom experience, more than half of which has been spent teaching Year 6. I have extensive experience preparing children for KS2 SATs and a proven track record of helping pupils strengthen their knowledge, build confidence and improve their performance.

I offer online tuition in KS2 Maths and English, with particular expertise in Year 6 and SATs preparation.

Whether your child needs support with arithmetic and mathematical reasoning, struggles to know how to approach those tricky three-mark reading questions, or simply needs more confidence when tackling a SATs paper, I can provide targeted, personalised support based on their individual needs.

English and writing are particular areas of expertise for me. Alongside many years of teaching KS2 English, I have worked as a writing moderator, giving me a strong understanding of the standards expected at the end of Key Stage 2. I can support children with reading comprehension, grammar, punctuation and spelling, as well as developing the skills needed to become more confident and successful writers.

My approach is supportive, encouraging and practical. I believe children make the most progress when they understand not only the correct answer, but how and why they got there. Lessons therefore focus on identifying gaps, explicitly teaching strategies and giving children opportunities to apply their learning independently.

Having taught Year 6 for many years, I also understand that SATs preparation should build confidence rather than create unnecessary pressure. My aim is to help children feel prepared, capable and much more secure in their own abilities.

I am particularly interested in supporting Year 5 and Year 6 pupils with KS2 Maths, English and SATs preparation, and I offer online tuition during weekday daytime hours.
