English Language Tutor - IELTS exam and EAP University preparation

Qualifications: CELTA from the British Council and Professional Certificate in Education (PCE).

I have over 15 years of dedicated experience in English for Academic Purposes (EAP), General English and English Language exam preparation (e.g IELTS) working in Higher Education with International students.

I have worked at BPP University, Westminster University and Kingston University as well as Kaplan International (NTIC, KICL and Digital pathways) teaching both face to face and online English and exam preparation courses. As well as teaching small classes online, I also have experience teaching 1:1 students.

My background in EAP has given me a deep understanding of the unique linguistic and cultural challenges that international students face. I pride myself on creating an encouraging, fun, engaging and high-energy virtual environment where students feel motivated to push past their comfort zones. I tailor my approach to each student, unlocking their individual potential.

I excel at keeping learners engaged through digital tools such as Padlet and Nearpod, ensuring the same inclusivity and approachability online as one would expect in a physical classroom. I am enthusiastic, approachable and friendly. I have a love of travelling and enjoy experiencing other cultures - I have lived in a number of countries including Pakistan, Hungary and Malaysia.
