Engaging Online Maths and English Tutoring for Primary and KS3 Students

I am a first year student in King’s College London with experience tutoring GCSE students and supporting younger children through the Summer Reading Challenge at Orpington Library. My tutoring approach focuses on making difficult concepts simple and engaging, using active recall and targeted practice to build confidence and independence. I am patient, reliable and approachable, and would be confident supporting Primary, KS3 and younger students with homework, Maths, English and general study skills. I enjoy helping others learn and believe in making difficult concepts simple and engaging. Through volunteering at Orpington Library and customer-facing roles, I have developed excellent communication, patience and interpersonal skills while working with children and members of the public.

As a sixth form student, I know how stressful and frustrating the learning experience can be, especially during exam season. Hence, I use methods such as active recall and immersive learning to not only help students ace their exams but also thoroughly understand the basics and theory of subjects such as Maths. Having peer mentored many GCSE students as well as younger years, my experience has taught me four keys to unlocking a students potential:

Therefore, I try to go above and beyond when trying teach a topic from providing past paper questions to challenging tests which will push a student’s capabilities and improve their confidence in the said subject.
I firmly believe that academic success is not driven by natural abilities but by determination and hard work and my main aim is to help students understand this and achieve top grades.
