I’m a licensed US teacher with over 10 years of experience and advanced degrees in Elementary Education (BA) and TESOL (MA). I spent the last seven years teaching in Japan, working with learners from kindergarten through adults. During that time, I passed the JLPT N3 and developed a deep love for helping beginners take their first steps into Japanese. After seven years in Japan, I love helping beginners understand not just the language but the culture, etiquette, and everyday expressions you won’t find in textbooks.

Since 2025, I’ve been teaching beginner Japanese online, using research‑based, interactive methods that make lessons engaging, confidence‑building, and genuinely fun. Whether you’re learning for travel, GCSEs, work, or personal interest, I’ll tailor each lesson to your goals and learning style. Lessons are relaxed, supportive, and designed to help you feel confident speaking from day one.
