My lessons: I prefer a 4-skills language learning approach using communicative language teaching, scaffolding, spaced repetition, and comprehensible input to ensure steady progress. Integrated, cross-cultural activities combining speaking, listening, reading, and writing, enable students to build balanced skills and confidence. Lessons are paced to help learners feel supported, successful, and motivated. Lessons are full of creativity and real-life practice. We might plan a pretend trip to Tokyo, order food at a “restaurant,” or play quick-fire vocabulary games to build confidence. You’ll learn naturally through doing, not drilling. These communicative tasks, scaffolded practice, and real-world language support steady, meaningful progress across all four skills.
