I start each student off with a basic assessment to check what areas they need more guidance with. After this I will feedback to the students and their parents/guardians and devise a plan of action best suited to the student. I believe in including the student as much as I can when deciding what to do next and what our lessons should be like to ensure that they are as comfortable and learning as much as they can in my sessions.

Regular exam practice is key when preparing for GCSEs and A levels so I always include some time for exam practice and I often give some exam questions for homework. Nearer to exam time (mocks and final exams) I work through past papers with my students to give them an idea of how to approach the paper as a whole.
