I have a native level of English language and 17 years experience as an English teacher

I am an EAL Mentor and Higher Level Teaching Assistant who have worked for over seventeen years (seven years in Poland as an EFL teacher in primary and secondary school and six years as an EAL Mentor as well as Higher Level Teaching Assistant in both primary and secondary school). I hold Qualified Teacher Status in the UK and can demonstrate that I have a full working knowledge of relevant EAL policies/code of practice since naturally I apply them in my current position on a daily basis. Recently I have passed Level 5 TEFL Certificate, which allows me to teach English worldwide to international students.

Both in my previous and current jobs I implemented the UK National Curriculum whilst at the same time applying learning programmes tailored to the needs and requirements of the students I have worked with. Additionally, I have delivered lessons and supported EAL students as well as those with special educational needs. Working with such a wide range of pupils with various language, educational and emotional needs demands an in-depth understanding of children’s development and learning processes. It requires the ability to differentiate between the educational resources available whilst at the same time demonstrating good behaviour management skills.

With an international background and the ability to speak two foreign languages in addition to my native Polish, I am a teaching practitioner who is very sensitive to the needs of foreign students. In the past I had an opportunity to deliver online English lessons to adults and high school age language learners where I applied different teaching methods, making sure my lessons are interesting and engaging. This opportunity allowed me to progress and expand my teaching experience. Showing a friendly and positive personality I have good relations with students. I understand how one may feel while learning the language and I know how to motivate and encourage my learners to achieve.
