I teach adults and children - I am a Master’s educated Surveyor, but I used to be a Youth Worker!

I like to ask what you are interested and use that to get chatting! I'm also very happy to provide material or use your material if you send it to me in advance. My beginner-intermediate lessons involve a 5 minute greeting, a learning point (typically grammar), some practice listening and speaking, and then something more fun - perhaps listening to relevant song lyrics or playing a game. We will also recap previous learning points and learn new vocabulary.

For more advanced English we may discuss a text or even debate ideas, and practice listening to some more advanced English - perhaps the BBC News or a podcast that you find interesting. I am also very willing to help you with any academic submissions you may be working on.

Personally, I live in Cornwall, I like music, I play the drums, and I like to surf and sail. I'm also interested in politics and economics, and cooking - so lots to talk about!
