Do you need a highly positive, motivational and supportive Tutor who guarantees to work 100% to help you progress and achieve?

Advert description
I qualified as a PE teacher in 1991 and since then I have undertaken two Master's degrees in Exercise Physiology, written Learning Handbooks (five of) for A' Level, BTEC, HND and Foundation Degree students in Anatomy & Physiology, Exercise Physiology, Sports Therapy & Injuries and Personal Training, and in my time been an Examiner/Moderator for GCSE and A' Level PE courses.

I have helped many students in their EPQ research and submissions on all manner of subjects with extremely favourable results.

My work in preparation for Wirral-based 11+ Entrance exams is very good indeed, as is my work for students who are struggling with GCSE Maths and Science because I have a totally relaxed, 'fun' and self-discovery approach for those I am helping - there is no judgment, constant (and highly positive) feedback that works at a pace suitable for the student and not for myself or the subject.

We build on what we know, progress when ready and I am always prepared to take steps back to a point where my tutee feels comfortable and ready to move on. It is YOUR time and effort and if you have been good enough to ask for my help, then you get it 100%

As a teacher, coach and instructor, I have always worked hard to help others achieve, believe they can be more than they are expected to be and motivate them for their next challenge.

My approach towards young people is to be proactive, to be relaxed and enjoy 'learning' with me - I am very professional but have an ability to get the best of those around me in a way that is positive and encouraging.

In theory lessons, I try to understand the 'way' that pupils learn, will adapt my approach and give thorough feedback - so much so, my exam/assessment results are above those of my colleagues.

As a personal tutor, I have been successful in helping students (years 10 and 11) prepare for and achieve better grades in Mathematics and English - by a minimum of 2-grades on average (plus improved grades in combined science) at GCSE. I have also enabled younger students pass their Grammar School Entrance (11+) examinations here in Wirral.

My philosophy for work has ALWAYS been, if a job needs doing by me, then it will be given my full attention and I will work to the highest quality standards - no matter how easy, menial or difficult the job - it has to be done - simple!
