Advert description
I am a Vocational Guidance Tutor specialising in personal, one-to-one tutoring, helping individuals move from uncertainty to clear, actionable career direction. My approach is tailored, focused, and outcomes-driven—ensuring that each learner receives guidance specific to their abilities, ambitions, and circumstances.
Through dedicated one-to-one sessions, I work closely with students to identify their strengths, interests, and long-term goals. I draw on established frameworks such as Holland's Theory of Career Choice and Super's Life-Span, Life-Space Theory to structure this process, enabling students to make informed, confident decisions rather than relying on guesswork. Each session is adaptive, responding directly to the learner’s progress, challenges, and evolving aspirations.
My tutoring places strong emphasis on practical employability. I provide personalised support with CV writing, interview preparation, and professional communication, refining each element to reflect the individual’s strengths and target sector. I also guide students in navigating digital recruitment platforms such as LinkedIn, ensuring they can present themselves effectively in a competitive job market.
A central aspect of my work is offering realistic, informed guidance. I maintain up-to-date knowledge of labour market trends, skills shortages, and qualification pathways, allowing me to align each student’s ambitions with genuine opportunities. Whether preparing for higher education, apprenticeships, or direct employment, I ensure that every plan is both ambitious and achievable.
Beyond career planning, I focus on personal development and confidence-building. Many learners benefit from structured encouragement and accountability; I help them develop clarity of purpose, resilience, and disciplined goal-setting. This ensures they are not only prepared to enter a chosen field, but capable of progressing within it.
I operate with professionalism and integrity, in line with standards such as those upheld by the Career Development Institute, ensuring that all guidance remains impartial, ethical, and centred on the individual.
In essence, my role is to provide bespoke vocational guidance, equipping each learner with the insight, skills, and confidence needed to make decisive and successful career choices.
