Friendly native French tutor and journalist, teaches all age groups

Advert description
Bonjour! Named after a French region famous for its smelly cheese, I am actually from Paris where I studied a bachelor's degree in history and a master's degree in journalism.
I have been in the UK for twelve years, working in London and Brighton as a digital marketer, copywriter, translator and freelance writer for the French paper Le Figaro.
I assist a French teacher in a young learner's class once a week and I am keen to get some tutoring/one on one experience with older students too.
Being personable and adaptable, I can tailor my teaching to accommodate different learning styles and exam preparation, transmitting my enthusiasm for the French language and way of life with much “joie de vivre”!

Born in Paris to a family of French writers and journalists, I studied history and journalism and moved to England twelve years ago where I became a travel and lifestyle correspondent for the leading French paper Le Figaro.

Working in cosmopolitan cities such as London and Brighton, in various writing and marketing roles, I got to collaborate with people from many backgrounds. I organised events and conferences and prepared the material that would fuel the conversations, I also created content guidelines for different brands, gave SEO training to colleagues and managed young writers.

This breadth of experience made me adaptable and allowed me to develop strong pedagogic skills as well as assess others’ work and progression and give tailored advice.

As a cinephile and music lover, I will always try to integrate songs and movies into my classes. These can be informal and conversational or more structured and targeted in the run-up to an exam or if there’s a specific subject/grammar point you need to nail. Whatever your learning needs are, we will tackle them together with creativity, fun and joie de vivre!
