Advert description
I have been a secondary school teacher since 1985. Throughout that time I have taught in the UK, Spain and the Middle East. Responsibilities have been from teacher, Head of Department, Head of Secondary all the way to Assistant Headmaster. As a graduate in computing my early career was as a teacher of ICT/computer science but always with maths as a secondary subject. Since 2008 I have taught only mathematics. I am a published author of mathematics textbooks for KS3 and KS4. A concern of mine is maths anxiety and for this reason I am more than happy to teach students who struggle and I have a strong pass rate with students at any level. Sessions will be completely tailored to your needs.
Face-to-face sessions at your home are the best. I can see exactly what your child is doing, it is easier to demonstrate and mark. Your child is also getting immediate feedback and I can see what effect that feedback is having. This also allows me to give parental feedback after a session. All these things are more difficult online. Additionally of course, you have no travel arrangements to make and your child is in comfortable and familiar surroundings.
I am based in Shifnal, Shropshire and will travel within a 15-20 minute drive of there.
